FTS Racing is looking forward to 2010 race season. Scotts 69 is ready to go and the new parts are here for the new build. Our 89 mustang is taking shape with the front suspension all in place the cage is finished and certified. Rear is complete but not in yet. It is a nice piece. All the suspension and rear are from Team Z motorsports. Big thanks to Dave from Team Z for all the help getting us going. He was outstanding with all the info and his complete knowledge of the best parts to use was a big relief. It took so much of the guess work and uncertainty out of the way being able to rely on his expertise in what we needed. The Battle boxes and S boxes are from Gene at Wild Rides. They are tons of work to put in but you can see why they are a must when compared to the stock stuff that was in the car. It’s been a lot of work but everything is coming together. Thanks to Tom Tillman for milling the spindles and Tommy Johns for countless trips drilling and tapping to make them fit perfectly. Scott has turned in to a welding machine. With all the weight taken out of the car I think we have added even more with bracing and welds but hopefully it will be there to stay. We still have a long way to go if it’s going to run this year. With a lot of help from our friends we might make it. Keep watching for updates on the progress.
Our friends at Stinger Racing have had a busy winter. Two of their cars are almost complete and ready to test with Dan’s still in progress. Keep checking for updates on them and when their first race will be. I look forward to them posting some updates.
No word on the yellow mustang. We need some info on his ride and progress. I hear he is trying to get a new heads up class started and it sounds good. I will try to get him to post some info about it with rules and where the races will be held.
That’s all for now but more to come.
